Welcome, friends! I have a card to share with you today which is inspired by the Maja Design April Mood Board. It is a monthly challenge which is hosted on the Maja Design blog, and a great way to get inspired with a beautiful palette of colors, themes and words.
My card today focuses on the colors of the mood board, as well as a couple of the motifs, such as butterflies and borders.
I used the beautiful Vintage Spring Basics collection to create this card, using two of the lovely shades of blue and purple. Each color in this collection is so soft and beautiful...It was hard to only choose two to play with! I can promise that I will be back with many more projects using these beautiful papers.
I started out with a lovely shade of light purple as the background, and then added a white layer of cardstock, which I stamped on the sides with my sentiment.
In the center, I added a die-cut button card, which I stamped and embossed with a white edge onto a lovely shade of blue paper.
Over the button card, I added a piece of lace, and a piece of white cotton fabric, as well as a stamped and embossed frame from this TCM stamp.
I used a lighter blue again to die-cut the quilted flower bit, and a light purple pattern to die-cut the butterfly. I embossed the butterfly before adding it to the layers.
Just below the butterfly, I stamped another sentiment, which I also embossed.
And lastly, I added a border (which is one of the other inspirations of this challenge) which I stamped in purple ink and embellished with a few buttons.
