You Are... - Watercolor Blending featuring PinkFresh Fleur 1

Hi Friends!
Today I have a fun and colorful card featuring my favorite new favorite Pinkfresh stamps - Fleur 1. I featured them on Monday Favorites just last week, and it's been such a blast playing with this super gorgeous set. I hope I'm not boring you all - but when there are sooo many possibilities with such a prettily designed set, it's hard to put it away!

For this card, I really wanted to play up the delicate nature of the sweet floral designs in the set. I've loved stamping them and coloring them, but something about white on vellum seems just so perfect to me with this beautiful style of flowers. They are so dainty and detailed, and I really think they look like the sweetest, finest lace.

I also wanted to make the background colorful and modern, so as to gjve the white details a bit more pop - kind of loving the contrast of bold and colorful against soft and sweet.

I blended a few PTI ink colors with some Distress ink colors to achieve the rainbow effect on the background.
After blending the colors together, I used a bit of water to drop some random splatters, and then used a paper towel to pick up the excess drops, leaving behind a soft, color-washed look.

Before stamping, embossing, and placing the flowers, I used the large floral cluster stamp to stamp an image onto the background, which I embossed in white. I used this as a guide of where to place the small and large flowers. I also added a bit of concentrated color to a few of the leaves and buds, and a bit of white pen action to make some of the details look like a solid stamp. I love the variation this creates.

To each flower center, I added a Queen and Co posie, and also added some glittery hearts around the card. To make the hearts, I backed some white cardstock with adhesive sheets, before running it through my Big Shot, with PTI's Cover Plate: Hearts die. I added a wee pit of pink iridescent glitter to the hearts.

At the bottom, I added the sentiment, diecut with one of PTI's Journal Card dies.

What do you all think of this stamp set? I find it sooo versatile and fun to play with!

Thanks for joining me today!
