Maja Design August Mood Board

~Pink Peonies are  my Favorite~

As you read this, we are still enjoying the last day of our long weekend. The weather has been just lovely, and our days filled with lots of fun. I will be back to share a post very soon, but for now,
I am so excited to share with you my August mood board creation, which is inspired by this month's Mood Board over at Maja Design. The inspiration photo is full of gorgeous pink peonies from our  Jenny's beautiful garden.

Oh how I love peonies. I would love to be surrounded by them at all times.

The sweet gal I made this card for is also a true romantic at heart, just like me. And I can't think of a more romantic flower than a pink peony.

She recently celebrated her convocation from University, and my dear friend (her mom) invited us to a beautiful party to celebrate this special day.

I made this card for her :)

I used the gorgeous Sofiero collection for this card, which I could not wait to dig my hands into.
For the base, I used two beautiful prints, Strolling Down the Rose Path and A Romantic Picnic in the Park. I stitched the two patterns on a base of soft apricot paper (which is the backside solid color of Strolling Down the Rose Path).

For all the pink layers, I used a combination of Papertrey Ink dies and stamps.
I used Rosie Posie for the flowers and leaves, the petal half-circles, and the little petal circle at the bottom of the card.

For the frame, I used the Fillable Frames #11 stamp set, and for the sentiment I used the Wonderful Words: Baby stamp set.  I used PTI's Smokey Shadow and Sweet Blush ink, as well as VersaMagic's Pink Petunia.

Just below the sentiment, I added a teensy bit of chevron washi tape, as well as a Melissa Frances alphabet border. Below that, I couldn't resist adding some pink vintage buttons and a white pom-pom trim. I finished the card with stamped stitches using Precious Remembrance stamps.

And here is a pic of the gorgeous Mood Board. Hope it inspires you to play along! It's a great way to dig into your creativity and it might even result in winning a beautiful Maja collection of your choice!!! Hope you'll give the Mood Board a try today :)
