~A Very Special Birthday~
Hi everyone :)
You're probably wondering what could have possibly kept me away from blogging for this long...
Well, my dear momma just so happens to be celebrating her birthday tomorrow, and instead of just a traditional gift, I thought the two of us could spend some much-needed mom/daughter time together here in the city.
So, she is visiting me this week, and with hubby gone away for a few days, it's the perfect opportunity for the two of us to spend some quality time together.
I conveniently left mom at the salon this morning, so I could sneak home for a little bit and do a tad of birthday prep...But that's all I can share for now. I would hate to spoil the surprise.
What I can share with you now, though, is the card I made for her b-day.
I am thinking a special breakfast in bed accompanied by this little colorful number.
I created this little card with my mom's favorite accent colors of peach and warm pink. She is not a huge blue fan, but still likes the teal shades and also loves green. I thought this Simple Stories paper was just the perfect fit.
I used the monogram paper and cut out the letter "m", followed by lots of pretty little roses cut out of another pattern paper in the collection.
For the sentiment, I used Papertrey Ink Purls of Wisdom stamp set, along with stitched details from a gorgeous Precious Remembrance stamp set, Thank You.
A few little buttons and some lace finish off this cheery card for the most wonderful mom in the world! :)
We have a busy day ahead of us, and a fun-filled week planned, so I best be getting to it.
I promise to be back with some new cards to share over the weekend.
As always, thank you for your sweet visits and kind comments,
