~Chirp Up!~ The Craft's Meow

A week goes by...Then two...then three...As I wait patiently for the postal strike to end...And with its closure, I wait for my new Crafts Meow stamps...

I patiently await the sets as I drool over the beautiful creations by the TCM design team...Hoping, wishing, praying that my stamps will get here any minute...And that I, too, could play along for the reveal festivities...The stamps don't quite make it in time...

A few days ago, the door buzzes and I shriek with excitement :)
It's the postman. With my beloved stamps.
Needless to say, I barely open the door and the stamps are already in my longing hands.

The postman walks away shaking his head.
He'll probably never understand the kind of passion and love that we pour into this craft and how a simple stamp can turn around our day...
This is why I love what I do.
Thank you, Lisa, for making me a part of your amazing team :)

So even though it's late (I guess it's better than never), I wanted to share this little card I created with the beautiful Craft's Meow Lovely Birds stamp set. As you can see, I used lots of cheery colors and a super cheery title, too :)

I stamped the little bird images on some yellow pp and cut them out...

The fountain is probably my fave stamp in this set...I just LOVE it! So I stamped that on a lovely Melissa Frances paper and cut out some pretty roses from the same Melissa Frances design...
I added lots of yummy Prima roses (Arcadian, Sugarplum, Fairytale) and distressed them with a bit of white paint. Then I folded a lovely cotton ribbon into a bow and misted it with some Sunflower Perfect Pearls Mist...It, of course, also got a generous coating of paint :)
I used a Maya Road alterable wood button, which I painted white...I could have gone an extra step and glittered it up...but Instead I added some Prima bling with the pretty little roses...So so pretty, don't you think? I could go on and on about all the yummy Prima goodies and how much I love all the beautiful bling....Seriously, I could talk about it for days.

Anyway...

Hope you'll join us for the stamp reveal this month and I hope to have my stamps on time and join in!

I'll leave you with a pic of my sweet brother and his wonderful girlfriend...I love them both dearly.
I took this pic yesterday and I can't wait to scrap it :) Any ideas for titles? I'm awful when it comes to that....

Isn't young love wonderful?
