Newest Addition to the Shoppe

~A Splash of Pink~

Today I awoke to the first snow of the season. Quite a bit of it, too.
White covered glistening trees, and powdery peaks cover all the streets, and I am afraid, the snow is here to stay.

Today, I am sharing a few creations, inspired by all the snow and icy colors of the season, with a dash of pink thrown in, for good measure.

I used papers from the beautiful My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio collection, along with glittery and frilly bits in my favorite shade of pink.

To create the wreath on this card, I used the MFT Spring Wreath die. I used Melissa Frances German Glass Glitter to cover the frame, and some pretty measuring washi tape that I found during our travels. Lately, I have been on a collecting spree of washi tape, and I just love how versatile it is. From cards, to gift wrapping, to home decor...It seems like it's the first thing I reach for nowadays.
Are you as addicted to this fun item as I am?

At the top of the card, I added a little pre-made flower that once belonged to a sweet hair clip. I often find treasures in all sorts of shoppes that I think would make adorable embellishments. You can find everything from necklace pendants and earring cabachons, to bracelet charms and hair clip flowers, in my collection of mismatched bits and bobbles.

I added a teensy little felt heart, cut out of beautiful wool felt from Crafty Wool Felt - a favorite Etsy Shoppe of mine :)

I used Papertrey Ink stamps for the sentiment and to cut the little heart

And I couldn't resist making a little pillowbox with these pretty papers. I used the Pillow Box die from PTI, and Rosie Posie stamps and dies for the pretty leaves.

For this next card, I wanted to do a play on words with this cute sentiment from PTI's Strawberry Patch Sentiments stamp set. Thought a patched up pumpkin would do the trick :)

I used a Maya Road chipboard pumpkin to trace out all the shapes, and layered some felt leaves, with teensy glittered hearts at the top,

as well as a few little hearts beside the sweet sentiment.

I can't help but want to hang onto these glittery cards, but something tells me I should share.
So, I am conquering my fear of letting go and adding them all to the shoppe :)

Wishing you all a happy, snowy day,

*Ivana*
