Thank You

~Thank You Berry Much~

I have been itching to use my new Strawberry Patch stamps from PTI for days now, and I couldn't think of a better reason than for a sweet thank you card for two of our dear friends who had us out to their place for supper this past Sunday. They were such gracious hosts, and we had a lovely time visiting and enjoying the delicious food they prepared for us.

Berries always remind me of country living, and homemade cooking. They prepared a lovely homemade meal for us, and I just couldn't resist finding the connection between this card and the yummy food we enjoyed, and their heartfelt welcome.

To start, I stamped the berry sentiment at the bottom of a piece of cardstock, using two different colors of ink. Just above that, I stamped a tiny little strawberry.

Along the edges of the cardstock, I stamped an air-mail motif, using this TCM stamp set
I adhered a pennant out of a beautiful Kaisercraft paper from the Needle and Thread collection, along with a die-cut doily, and shabby bow. I stamped teensy little strawberries on the doily, and added a paper button to the pink bow.  Just below that, I stitched a couple of Autumn Rose buttons.

To the bottom of the card, I added another little strip of patterned paper, and stitched the layers together (rather roughly, might I add), and stitched a white button to the center.

Although not pictured, I made a matching envelope to send the card in, using the Bulk Envelope die. It will be my first time sending something in it, and I am excited to see how it fares. The card fits quite nicely, even with all the dimension on it, and I am hoping that it will mail just as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I wish you all a "berry" nice day! :)
