~Happy Easter~

Hope you're all having a lovely Easter Sunday. I'm back again with another Easter card...I used a mix of products on this card. Graphic 45 paper for the beautiful vintage image (Once Upon a Springtime collection), Webster's Pages Storyteller Alphas (Sweet Season collection), Prima clear stamp (for the background cardstock), Prima Madeline paper (butterflies), and of course a little button made by me!

I misted the white seam binding with a combination of Chalkboard Glimmer Mist (Teal High Heel) and regular Tattered Angels Glimmer mist (Patina).
The stencils are also by Tattered Angels (Elegant Emblems collection).

For the border, I used an EK Success punch.

Off to enjoy some time with the family now.
Wishing you all a very, very Happy Easter!!!

~Easter Wishes~

Hi everyone! I've pre-scheduled this post, so as you read this, I'll already be on my way home for the weekend! I actually created this card a little while ago, and took it to the shop. I was lucky enough to show it off to a couple of customers while it was hanging around there...I promised I'd have the card up on my blog for them, and then last night I popped into the store quickly and all I heard was..."I checked your blog...And I couldn't find your card!"
Ooooops. What can I say? Better late than never I guess :) So Gwen, this is for you!

Okie dokie, now that it's up, I guess I better give you a run-down of what I did. So here's a close-up shot of all the yummy Prima goodness on this card...I used beautiful Prima flowers, chipboard alphas and a beautiful Jack and Jill journalling card...

I added bits of white crackle paint to the flowers and the leaves...I love how the leaves release their color when painted on...It turns them into this lovely soft, lime-a-licious green...So perfect for spring!

Another close up...This one shows the 'grass' at the bottom of the card. It started out as straight grass, and ended up curly...Hmmm...Wonder how that happens? I can't be the only one who can't always create what's envisioned in my mind...right?
Anywho, the 'grass' is simply strips of cardstock that were cut and curled, and then glued down to the base of the card...

And here's an even closer up, close-up... :)

And another top down shot just to show you what I did with the foam egg.. I first painted the egg with a cream-colored craft paint, then glimmered a very fine mist of light pinks and soft orange tones (I used Chalkboard Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels - love the opaque-ness of this stuff!), and then I speckled some black paint to give the eggs a bit more realistic look. Oh and I forgot to mention that I cut the egg in half before I did all of the above...And just a quick tip, be sure to use a SHARP knife when you do this...And be careful! I used a dull one...Quite the scene, I'm telling ya...Not only did I have foamies floating all over the place...But I somehow managed to cut myself too! No pain no gain, I suppose.

Anywho, I have another Easter card coming up soon...Will be back to share once I get back to my computer! Until then - Wishing you all happy weekend!

~ Some {BIG} Happy News!~

Hi all! Before I get to my happy news, I'll quickly share this little project with you all!

This project was inspired by my unsuccesful search for just-the-right-journal...So after an endless search to find something I liked, it finally dawned on me that I could just as easily create something that is 'totally-me'...So I picked up this plain journal, covered it with some craft paint, and added the works...

The top is embellished with a Prima flower package, some canvas lace and the cutest little Prima resin flower....But not without my signature white paint :)

I used the most darling and gorgeous Prima papers...I swear this line was made for me!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lori for the sweet gift!!! Seriously, this little Prima 6x6 paper pad is so packed full of yummy designs...I could make these little books all day!!!
For a 'me' look, you'll see that I added glittler and liquid pearls in the centers, and a bit of white paint, to the pretty Prima flowers....

Here's a close-up of the way I mixed paint, glitter and a little bit of pink paint to customize them...

My journal is perfectly ready now to be filled with the tales of my life!

Now onto the BIIIIIIG news!!!!

Have you heard of The Craft's Meow?
I recently got asked by my talented and wonderful friend Nina Brackett (you may know her gorgeous die designs with Spellbinders and her beautiful stamp designs) to join a new, amazing, completely inspirational team of gals at The Craft's Meow!!!
I took a peek at the site and the amazing talent and ideas behind the new store, and I was absolutely shocked that they would ask ME to join in!

Seriously, me? A kit designer?

So yes, I will be joining the team as a kit designer!!!
And I am ECSTATIC!!! (smiling from ear to ear over here)
You can check out all the TCM kit designers here.
And here's a link to all the DT members also, who will be working with Nina's EXCLUSIVE stamps desgined for TCM, and little Frieda Stamps, amongst other products! TCM's first Nina-designed stamp release date is May 1st, and trust me, you don't want to miss it! I got a peek at them yesterday....Speechless. Totally, absolutely, beautiful! Nina, you are SO incredibly talented!
I will be posting more info about my kits soon, and I'm hoping I'll get to join in on the stamp release (starting April 28th)....The stamps are en-route as we speak, so hopefully Canada Post will not dissapoint :)

Okay now that you know my big news, I've gotta jet and get busy creatin'!

Enjoy your weekend!

~A Family is Life's Greatest Blessing~

Happy Friday! After a long week, I'm looking forward to spending some down time at home...Doing all the things I love most...Cooking, tidying, organizing, and of course...Scrappin!

Hope you've all been well. I think of all of u quite often...So I'm dropping in with a quick little project I want to share with you before I get busy with creating for the next Scrap That! release :)

I have wanted to do this project for a while now, but haven't quite had the right product/idea in mind...That is, of course, until I started playing along with Webster's incredibly beautiful new Digi Art...I had never had an opportunity to dabble in digi art before this, so please be kind as I learn this new and exciting area of paper crafting...Seriously...No laughing permitted at my digi abilities...Or should I say....In-abilities :)

So here it goes....
I introduce you to my very first....

Webster's Pages Hybrid Project!!!

I created a three-part wall-hanging out of mini 6x6 canvases, using stunning traditional and digital products from Webster's Pages (in case you're wondering, this makes it a hybrid project).

As you can see above, I printed teeny little photos for my canvases, and the black portion of the vintage frame you see underneath the rose and above the canvas ribbon, is a digital file from the Life's Portrait collection by Webster's Pages.
The canvas ribbon features a WP sparkler which is even more beautiful in person than in the photo...Seriously...It's gorgeous!

To hold the canvases together, I used this gorgeous WP trim and as you can see in the pic, it is a beautiful eyelet trim that is quite wide...So instead of trimming off the excess and tossing it, I simply tied a couple of bows that I layered on top of one another, to create a shabby canvas bow :) So all of the ribbon and trim you see on this project, actually comes from the same trim! I also can't wait to try misting this trim...No cream trim is safe from my mists!

On the side of the trim handle I added a few flowers and a WP chipboard button...I love these buttons because they can be painted, stamped, sanded, covered with paper, or simply left as is...AND... Now you can get these beautiful buttons in digi format too

I was also fortunate enough to play around with some of the lovely Unity/Webster's Pages Itty Bitty stamps (which I completely and totally adore to bits) so I stamped the floral design in a green ink and layered it underneath the Prima rose...

I printed off the same WP Life's Portrait Digi Frame onto plain white cardstock (just increased the size a bit) and layered some more of that gorgeous trim around the edges...I painted the trim, Prima flowers (Fairytale roses and Athena), and the little whimsies with Distress Crackle white paint...

I also printed a digi vintage frame from the WP Country Estate collection and layered my title on top...

A few liquid pearls as usual...

And one more bow created from the trim leftovers to complete the final canvas piece...

I am now officially addicted to hybrid scrappin (this is coming from a girl who SWORE to never, ever, ever stray from traditional scrappin)...How does that phrase go...Never say Never?

Next thing you know, I'll be converted into a full-out digi scrap-a-holic :)

So for all of you digi skeptics, head over to Webster's Digi Products and I dare you to not give in to the awesomeness that awaits!

Hope u all have a lovely night. Much love.

~Spring has Sprung~

Hi friends. Hope you are all doing well. I am smiling form ear to ear as I watch the days grow warmer...The winter was so long and cold...So here's to warmer days that are yet to come!
I have a little card+project to share with you all using some gorgeous Webster's products

I created this combo using tons of yummy goodies from my fave company :) To create the card background, I simply traced a scalloped circle on the lower portion of the card, and cut out the design...Then I added an additional scalloped piece underneath (that's the cream paper you see - Webster's Pages Ladies and Gents pp) and finally I added another half - circle that was stenciled and cut on the upper portion of the card (using the same WP paper)

To finish off the top of the card, I punched a couple of borders out of white cardstock and the lime green Webster's Pages Ladies and Gents paper, and then alternated the border between the two colors...And just for good measure, I added three little and completely adorable yellow Whimsies to the top of the card. So cute!

The flower cluster is a combination of two yummy new colours of Webster's Pages Bloomers (in yellow and green) with a teensy weensy little WP vintage Push Pin sticking out the side...

Then I completed the look with some cheery Storyteller Alphas in a sunny yellow, and a lace accordion that I misted with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (color-sun sisters). I also misted that beautiful little Prima flower (Athena collection - which was cream to being with) with Key Lime Glimmer Mist and then painted a thick coat of Tim Holtz Distress Paint over top.
You also might be able to see a very light stamped image under the stamped tag - this was done using a Tim Holtz wing stamp, that I stamped onto a transparency using Adirondack Paint in white...

And before I go, just a quick shot of the little candy lantern that I embellished at the top to coordinate with the card....

Hope you all have a super *sweet* day!

~My Little Piece of Heaven~

Ahhh...Every time I hear the name..Every time I see a picture...It takes me back to that beautiful countryside...The place that will forever be near and dear to my heart.
Tuscany...
I instantly remember the smell of cypress trees in the air, the feel of the deep golden sun on my skin, the subtle sounds of nature all around...Funny how some places on this Earth were just meant to bless us with pure heavenly bliss....Ahhh how I long to go back!
Until then, I will scrap about this little piece of heaven...I will dream of one day feeling that warm sun on my skin again...And I will share this layout I created, with all of you!

I used the stunning new collections from Webster's Pages on this layout. I loved how the rich tones of the papers picked up on the golden, warm hues in my photo...I used a combination of Spring Market and Yacht Club papers.

I added in some Webster's Pages embellies such as the Storyteller Alphas (which are, in my opinion, the MOST awesome cardstock alphas out there)

Did TONS of fussy cutting....And used one of the gorgeous vellum papers from the Yacht Club collection (the pretty yellow roses in pic above)...

I added in bits of stamped details that I stamped right on the page (below) and on on paper that I cut out (pic above)

I used some lovely Webster's Pages Sparklers, and the adorable little Whimsies (in pic above)

Some stenciled shapes above...

And some more delicate cutting to frame the photo...

I had so much fun playing with the lovely Webster's papers...Check out this layout here for a list of products used!

Wishing you the happiest of days!
Thank you for stopping by :)
